So... talking about my weight struggles is not something I like to do... especially with strangers but I’m here to share a personal weight loss journey that I hope will inspire and motivate anyone struggling with weight loss. Like many of you, I’ve faced an uphill battle with my weight for most of my adult life. After having four children, it felt like my body just wouldn't cooperate with any of my efforts to shed those extra pounds.


The Struggle Was Real


Over the years, I encountered numerous obstacles that made weight loss seem almost impossible. One of the biggest challenges was my thyroid issues, which significantly slowed down my metabolism. Despite this, I didn’t give up. I tried every diet and weight loss method out there: Keto, intermittent fasting, low-carb diets, calorie counting, and even excessive workouts. And by try, I don't mean I tried for a week and gave up. I REALLY gave it my all... While I would lose a few pounds here and there, it was never enough to make a real difference. I was frustrated, exhausted, and almost ready to accept that my body just wouldn’t change. Couple the weight loss issues with chronic pain and inflammation and you can just imagine how defeated I felt.


All the time, I kept hearing people tout "calories in ... calories out" and tell me I wasn't moving enough. Hard to hear when you are truly doing everything.


The Challenge of My 40s and beyond


As if these struggles weren’t enough, things became even harder when I hit my 40s. My metabolism slowed down even more, and the weight seemed to cling on for dear life. Hormonal changes added another layer of difficulty, making it seem like my efforts were in vain. I knew I had to find a different approach if I wanted to achieve lasting results.


Discovering Insulin Resistance



The turning point came when I stumbled upon the concept of insulin resistance. I learned that this condition could be the root cause of my weight loss struggles. Insulin resistance occurs when the body's cells don’t respond effectively to insulin, making it difficult to manage weight. It was a revelation that explained so much about my body's behaviour.


What I learned is that Insulin plays a key role in how our body handles fat.


Normally, insulin helps stop the breakdown of fat. When you have insulin resistance, your insulin levels stay high, making it tough for your body to break down stored fat for energy.


High insulin levels cause your body to store more fat. Instead of using glucose for immediate energy, your body converts it into fat.


With high insulin levels, your body prefers to burn glucose instead of fat. This makes it harder to lose fat, leads to weight gain, especially around your belly, because of the increased fat storage and reduced fat burning.


Essentially insulin resistance makes it difficult for your body to use fat for energy, leading to more fat storage and weight gain.

The Benefits of Fasting


Before I talk about the products I found, I want to emphasize the benefits of fasting, which played a crucial role in my journey. Intermittent fasting helped me regulate my eating patterns, reduce unnecessary snacking, and gave my body the break it needed to reset and start functioning more efficiently. Fasting not only helps with weight loss but also improved my overall energy levels and mental clarity. But Intermittent fasting alone did not make any significant changes . I felt better but the struggle with weight was still there....

The Game Changers: a Natural GLP-1 alternative (not Ozempic) and Fiber


Understanding insulin resistance and fasting was just the beginning. The real transformation began when I incorporated two specific products into my routine. These products were designed to increase natural GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) levels and help regulate glucose and insulin. Here’s why these were crucial:

Losing 25 lbs was huge for me, but I still have a ways to go. Part of this journey was the discovery that you don't always get the best advice from doctor's and it really is important to research and find out what is best for you.
